Individual coaching

Understand how you breathe. Build skills that support everyday life.

Every coaching program begins with a functional breathing assessment — a clear picture of how you actually breathe — then builds practical tools for stress, sleep, focus, and energy. Work with Louise in person in Oakville or online.

Who individual coaching is for

When breathing works against you

Breathing is the one thing you do all day, every day — and most of us picked up our patterns by accident. Under long-term stress, those patterns often shift: faster, shallower, higher in the chest, more often through the mouth.

Patterns like these can quietly feed the very tension you're trying to shake, and make it harder to wind down when you finally get the chance. These aren't diagnoses. They're breathing patterns. And breathing patterns can change.

What coaching may help you build

A calmer response to stress

Techniques you can use in the moment — before the meeting, after the hard conversation, in the thick of a busy day.

A better wind-down

Evening practices that help prepare your body for rest, instead of carrying the day into bed with you.

Steadier energy and focus

Awareness of the patterns that drain you, and habits that support clearer, steadier days.

Your own toolkit

Nothing generic — techniques matched to your patterns, your schedule, and your goals.

What happens in a session

  1. Assess

Every session opens with assessment. The first one is the fullest — breathing mechanics, everyday habits, breathing cadence, carbon-dioxide tolerance, range of motion, and a maximum breath test — a baseline you'll measure progress against.

  2. Practise

You learn techniques matched to your goals with feedback and adjustment in the moment, so you leave knowing how each one should actually feel.

  3. Apply

You build the tools into real situations — the workday, the night routine — with a plan that builds from session to session and a progress review at the end of each program.

Why choose Louise

Louise is certified across several recognized breathing methods and came to this work through her own experience — using breathing practices to manage anxiety, sleep better, and stay steady under pressure.

Her style is warm, practical, and personal: clear explanations, no jargon, no mysticism, and a plan you can actually keep.

In their words

I had the opportunity to take some one-on-one sessions and a weekly group series with Louise during the pandemic. The group sessions gave us the chance to try a variety of breathing patterns. Prior to the one-on-one sessions, Louise took the time to discuss what I needed. I also really enjoyed the group discussion afterward as some of the sessions brought up strong emotions and feelings. Louise taught me some energizing breaths which have been so useful during long work from home days in front of the computer when I definitely don’t need that third coffee. As a working mom, I find it hard to make time for myself so scheduling these structured times with Louise to just breathe is a necessary luxury!
